Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal information Eastern Bazaar, operated by RM Solutions Group Inc ("we"), collects and how we use it. It covers the bazaar website and directory. Each store you buy from is a separate business with its own privacy notice for the orders you place there.

What we collect

If you are a community member

• Account details: your email address, and your name and phone number if you give them.
• Your activity in the bazaar: stores you save as favourites, vouchers you save and redeem, and the store pages you view.
• Location: only if you allow it or type an address, to show stores near you. We do not store your precise location.

If you are a store owner

• Your name, email and phone, your business's name, address and details, and your plan and billing records. Card payments for your plan are handled by Stripe; we do not see or store card numbers.

Everyone

• Technical data needed to run and protect the site: IP address, browser type and the pages requested, kept in security and error logs.

How we use it

• To run your account and the features you use: favourites, vouchers, store pages and, for store owners, your store.
• To show stores how their page and vouchers are doing, using counts (views, saves, redemptions), not your identity.
• To keep the service secure and to fix problems.
• To send service messages. We send marketing email only if you opt in, and you can opt out at any time.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising.

Who we share it with

• Stores: when you redeem a voucher, the store sees the voucher code and that it was used. When you buy from a store, you give your details to that store directly.
• Service providers who host and run the bazaar for us: Supabase for accounts and data, Cloudflare for the website, Amazon Web Services for store hosting, Stripe for store-owner billing. They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
• Boomerang (Eastern Air Couriers, New York), for stores it fulfils, receives the order details needed to ship.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

Data in hosted stores

When you buy from a store hosted on Eastern Bazaar, the store collects your order details. The store decides how that data is used; we host and back it up on the store's behalf and do not use it for our own purposes.

Cookies

We use cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember your choices. [If analytics are added: we use privacy-friendly analytics that do not track you across sites.] Hosted stores use their own cookies for carts and checkout.

How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is open and delete it within [90] days of closing, except records we must keep by law, such as billing records. Security logs are kept for [30] days.

Your choices and rights

You can view and update your account details at any time, and ask us to export or delete your data. Depending on where you live, including California, you may have further rights, such as to know what we hold about you and to correct it. Children

The bazaar is not for children under 13, and accounts require you to be 18 or over.
